Our Preparedness Plan

As a valued customer of A to Zinnia Floral and Gifts, your comfort while shopping in our store is incredibly important to us. Below, you will find our Preparedness Plan to keep you and our employees safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for A to Zinnia Floral & Gifts

Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our store and community, and understand that this will require full cooperation among our workers, management, and customers. Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of our workplaces.

Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines, federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19 and Executive Order 20-48.

Employee Health & Hygiene

Workers have been informed of and encouraged to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and to stay home if they are exhibiting these symptoms. If symptoms occur at work, all staff will be asked to leave for 24-hours so a thorough disinfection can be completed.

Our employees are encouraged to wash their hands often throughout their shift, or use hand sanitizer appropriately, especially after customer interactions, before and after making deliveries and before and after curbside pickup.

Non-medical cloth face coverings have been made available for staff to wear, but we will not require our staff or customers to wear face masks or non-medical cloth face coverings. If there is a customer that would prefer us to wear a non-medical cloth face covering, we are happy to accommodate.

Social Distancing

Social distancing will be followed whenever possible with staff to staff interactions and staff to customer interactions. The following items have been implemented to ensure safe social distancing:

· Chip readers are now installed for no-contact credit card sales

· Public restroom is closed indefinitely to customers

· Customers must enter through the North door and exit through the South door

· Deliveries are modified to no contact delivery

· No-contact pickups at curbside are available

· No more than 25 guests will be allowed in the store at one time

· Workers will not share protective equipment, phones, computer equipment, desks, cubicles, workstations, offices or other personal work tools and equipment without following proper sanitation procedures

Housekeeping

30-minutes after closing is now dedicated to performing sanitation details which include cleaning and disinfecting of work surfaces, equipment, tools and machinery, delivery vehicles and areas in the work environment, including restrooms, break rooms, lunch rooms, meeting rooms, and drop-off and pick-up locations. Frequent cleaning and disinfecting will be conducted in high-touch areas, such as phones, keyboards, door handles, etc.

We hope this plan helps to ensure your comfort and safety while shopping at A to Zinnia Floral and Gifts. We are so happy to continue serving our communities!
