Life is Short, Gift Thoughtfully
Life is the gift. The gift of life. On the evening of the funeral for a 40 year-old friend of mine, I finish writing this. I, we, the community and afar just lost a bright star. That bright star is shining down on us from heaven. A woman who loved everybody fiercely. She gave of herself freely. Eden “Bliss” Kalk had an effect on you no matter how long you knew her. Her hugs were larger than life, and she was an open book through this difficult struggle with cancer. She fought hard, with grace, love, courage and kindness. Let us truly remember this season for the real meaning of life, the Gift of life and of life eternal with Him. Bliss, I know you are with Jesus in Heaven, dancing and playing in the eternal garden of life. Until we meet again my friend. You are a gift, and I have been truly “Blissed” for knowing you.
